I've found my love: the library. I love the stories and the information, and just about everything that the library has to offer. I truly believe that this is an exciting time of transition for the public library and I want to be a part of it. I'm tentatively planning on majoring in English and then minoring in History and then going on to complete my Masters of Library and Information Science.
That being said, my main goal in life is to love God and love my neighbor (er...goals). I'm going to attempt to talk about what my Christianity means to me without using "Christian-nese" or church lingo. Bear with me, this might get cheesy, but it's 100% sincere. It all started when I came to the realization that I'm hopelessly flawed and simply can not make it through life on my own. I reached for people and things, but nothing was comforting or fulfilling. Then I found Jesus Christ, my savior -the only one who's promised to stick with me even when I don't stick with Him. The only one who won't give up on me. As I developed a personal relationship with God and accepted what He was offering, I felt a sudden and overwhelming freedom. Freedom from worry, loneliness, anxiety and guilt. I have nothing to fear when the God of Creation has a plan for me. You know that comfort and fulfillment I was looking for? I found it in my relationship with God, and it's transformed my life in the very best ways.
